About You As the Key Account Manager, you’ll lead our Incontinence Business model in the Netherlands, with a focus on both reimbursed B2B business but also an opportunity to further expanding the B2C non-reimbursement market. You will develop and negotiate strategic customer business plans and manage national customer relationships to deliver outstanding volume, pricing, profit, and distribution results. You’ll have end-to-end responsibility for achieving sales and profit targets, ensuring our continued leadership in the market.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Leader for Western and Central Europe, you’ll manage a talented team of two external sales professionals, empowering them to excel and grow with you.
Location We offer a flexible remote working model for Dutch-speaking professionals based in the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany giving you the autonomy to work where you thrive best.
Key Responsibilities
Shape the long-term vision for 2026–2028, designing future-ready strategies for K-C’s continued success, including innovative approaches for the non-reimbursement market.
Achieve ambitious volume, pricing, and profitability targets through expert negotiation and alignment of trading terms with customer objectives and company guidelines.
Build and nurture strategic B2B partnerships with leading pharmaceutical wholesalers, medical shops, and home care organizations, creating tailored customer plans and conducting quarterly performance reviews.
Maintain and strengthen collaborations with health insurance companies to track and respond to evolving reimbursement regulations, ensuring K-C remains a trusted contract partner in medical devices.
Grow our B2C segment by leading e-commerce initiatives (Bol and D2C), expanding consumer retail channels, and collaborating with pharmacies for OTC opportunities. Work closely with the Consumer Key Account Manager to maximize impact.
Serve as a key advisor to EMEA Brand and R&D teams, providing insights on the Dutch reimbursement landscape to support product innovation and business growth.
Safeguard our institutional market share by extending contracts and securing new agreements, supported by your external sales team. (potential)
Proudly represent K-C and Depend® at major industry trade association events, including NEFEMED and ASKA, showcasing our leadership and commitment to excellence.
Take ownership of local customer P&L, promotional budgets proactively identifying risks and driving mitigation strategies while communicating key insights to leadership.
Foster cross-functional collaboration with customer development, logistics, marketing, and category development teams to ensure seamless execution and forecast accuracy.
Lead, coach, and inspire your team (2 FTE sales professionals and 0.5 FTE Depend Advies) to deliver exceptional results and grow their expertise.
Represent the Depend business at internal events and business reviews, articulating plans and results to the senior leadership team with clarity and passion.
What You will Bring
Previous experience in sales within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or pharmaceutical sectors, ideally with exposure to prescription-based reimbursement models.
Good understanding of country activation, supply chain, operations, category analysis and financial KPI’s
Excellent selling skills, including strong negotiation and closing ability
Entrepreneurial, winning, accountable and ownership approach
Basic knowledge of the reimbursement business
Fluency in Dutch and English
