R30820**Job Summary:**The Municipal Sales Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing GFL’s municipal sales strategy, including the retention of existing municipal accounts and contracts, as well as promoting GFL’s services to prospective municipalities and public sector partners.**Key Responsibilities:**• Assist RVP/AVP and Branch management in developing market plans for municipal service areas
• Ensure successful implementation, profitability and customer satisfaction on municipal accounts and contracts
• Coordinate municipal sales and business development efforts with disposal and acquisition strategies
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date reporting relating to annual revenue, profit margins, bid activity, pricing, and growth performance
• Identify municipal contract expiration dates and work with regional and branch management to ensure a proactive retention strategy
• Assist with cost analysis, negotiations with municipal officials, and development of proposals, bid responses, and public presentations
• Maintain a municipal prospect pipeline and track competitive activity
• Work closely with mergers and acquisitions team to identify potential acquisitions that align with municipal growth opportunities
• Identify, manage, and coordinate the logistics of annual municipal conferences and industry events to ensure maximum company visibility and networking impact
• Provide weekly and monthly updates to the Director of Sales and Marketing
• Assist landfill and disposal development projects as needed to support municipal growth opportunities
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, ordinances, company policies, and leadership directives
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:**• BS or BA degree
• 5+ years of work experience in sales, marketing, or municipal business development
• Prior experience in the waste industry with exposure to municipal accounts, purchasing, or bid processes
• High energy, enthusiastic attitude, and strong relationship-building skills
