We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Senior Major Account Executive in the Ohio Valley Region to join our Enterprise Sales Team, reporting to the Director of Sales, Major Account Executives. Your primary focus will be on acquiring new accounts, generating new leads, and converting them into customers, owning all aspects of the sales cycle. Success in this role requires a hunter mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, and ethical transparency.
Key Responsibilities
Territory and Account Planning:
Collaborate with your team to develop a comprehensive plan.
New Business Development:
Drive opportunities in networking, security, and cloud solutions.
Prospecting:
Identify and pursue new opportunities, engage in 8-10 customer interactions weekly, initiate contact via calls, emails, networking, and utilize tools like ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Highspot.
Deal Qualification:
Use the MEDDPICC framework for qualification.
Sales Process Adherence:
Follow established sales recipes, conduct workshops and assessments.
Engagement with Economic Buyers:
Leverage business value assessments and business cases, with specific focus on deals over $50K.
Partner Meetings:
Hold at least 2 meetings weekly with resellers, hyperscalers, and alliances; transact deals via hyperscaler marketplaces.
Forecasting:
Maintain accuracy within +/- 10%.
Account Handover:
Transition closed wins to the Major Account Manager team after 30 days.
Qualifications
10+ years in technology sales, with a focus on new business acquisition.
References from C-levels in at least 3 accounts.
Proven success in exceeding sales targets, opening large accounts with 6-figure ACV deals, building C-level relationships, disrupting incumbents, and cultivating partner ecosystems.
Experience selling multiple products in complex stakeholder environments.
Value selling skills, proficiency with CRM tools like Salesforce, and excellent communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Success Metrics First six months: Build $1M+ pipeline, close initial deal, implement territory plan, conduct 8-10 meetings/week.
First year: Build $2M+ pipeline, close $500K+ in bookings, maintain 4x pipeline, add 25% new logos.
