Role Summary Our objective is to build the most loved baby brands so that there are no more boring nurseries. As an Account Manager, you will drive growth on our e‑commerce platforms by building, communicating, and maintaining productive relationships with online retailers such as Bloomingdale’s, Maisonette, McGee & Co., Pottery Barn Kids, and Crate & Kids. You will oversee all aspects of managing specific categories and accounts to create the product of choice and fulfill our consumers’ needs (client queries, identifying growth opportunities, and analyzing sales trends). Our goal for this role is to create sales strategies and build relationships by promoting “Wow” customer experiences.
Responsibilities
Execute and monitor sales plans, targets, and budgets within the territory in line with the overall company sales strategy.
Develop and maintain strong account relationships, serving as the first point of contact with retail partners.
Provide excellent account management using sales tools such as brand plans, customer reports, and sales analysis reports to communicate plans and deals.
Inform retail partners of continuous product improvements, launches, pricing, photography, marketing, and content changes to ensure effective product placements both in-store and online.
Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge and train retailers’ personnel.
Provide support to Finance and Customer Services on issues such as credit and distribution, communicating account efficiencies and updates.
Work cross‑functionally with internal teams such as Brand, Marketing, and Supply Chain to gain buy‑in and execute business needs.
Keep up to date on brand/product distribution sheets, promotional calendars, and account goals on a weekly basis.
Handle the majority of escalated daily issues independently.
Identify opportunities for improvement, develop solutions, and implement them with a focus on minimizing complexity and creating sustainable, repeatable processes.
Conduct root‑cause analysis of mistakes and unintended outcomes, providing recommendations for improvement.
Actively learn about the industry and competitive landscape and apply those learnings to the team.
Qualifications
2+ years of proven relevant experience in e‑commerce account management or a related field.
Bachelor’s degree from a 4‑year university preferred.
Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, strong analytical background, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Working knowledge of delivering client‑focused solutions to customer needs.
Experience conducting and analyzing wholesale gross profit margins and sales reports.
Known as a go‑to, trusted resource in your area of expertise.
Ability to perform basic data analysis to make decisions and present a POV.
Demonstrates full ownership over tasks, anticipating failure points and escalating follow‑ups to get things done.
Demonstrates mutually beneficial decision‑making with partners focused on the long‑term relationship.
Compensation California pay range: $80,000—$95,000 USD
