Director of Sales (Outside Sales)

opportunity is an exciting role for Property Management professionals who enjoy working independently and leading a team. This person will be the face of their Property Management market, representing BGSF. We seek someone familiar with the property management industry in Birmingham, Alabama, with a sales presence in the multifamily sector and contacts within industry associations. Vendor knowledge is a plus, but not required. The Director of Sales (DOS) is responsible for executing sales, marketing, and operational strategies. By analyzing data, planning, and implementing sales initiatives, the DOS will increase profits, retain existing clients, and develop new relationships. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM), the DOS collaborates with the RSM and the market Staffing Coordinator to optimize performance. This role offers the opportunity to help property management professionals and make a meaningful impact in your community. Duties & Responsibilities Service existing accounts, follow up on leads, and secure new orders Establish new clients and recruit talent as needed Organize and optimize daily and weekly work schedules Maintain calendars, uphold performance standards, and submit weekly expense reports Conduct leasing training classes to produce new graduates Attend two local apartment association meetings monthly and participate in events Target top management companies and share relevant client information with the national sales and marketing teams Schedule two client meetings weekly and make sixty sales calls each week to existing clients and prospects Build and maintain executive-level relationships, including three scheduled meetings monthly Skills & Qualifications Experience in servicing accounts, following up on leads, and securing new business Ability to meet sales goals, prospect effectively, and manage time efficiently Knowledge of the local multifamily market and industry associations Motivation for sales and strong closing skills Leadership experience within the local multifamily industry Willingness to develop and sustain client relationships Self-confidence, public speaking, and presentation skills Ability to recruit, interview, hire, and train staff Team player with a willingness to share sales techniques and marketing ideas Understanding of staffing industry, property management, and industry competitors It is expected that the Director of Sales adheres to all company policies and represents BGSF’s culture and mission.
