Hershey's Territory Sales Lead (Los Angeles, CA) Join the Hershey’s Territory Sales Lead (Los Angeles, CA) role at The Hershey Company. The Territory Sales Lead (TSL) is responsible for flawless execution of store‑level sales and promotion plans with customer retailers in a high‑volume food chain grocer and mass merchandiser territory. The TSL drives incremental sales, implements best‑in‑class promotional and merchandising strategies, and ensures 100% distribution of Hershey items across all trade classes. A successful TSL is driven, entrepreneurial, influential, and planful.

Responsibilities Customer Relationship Development and Management

Build and maintain consultative business relationships with Key Decision Makers (KDMs) at all levels.

Collaborate with KDMs to develop and execute action plans to increase sales, cultivating a network of influential contacts to achieve sales objectives.

Leverage strategic relationships with KDMs to influence and negotiate customer assistance in merchandising Hershey products.

Data Analysis

Obtain and analyze relevant store, product, and market data to build business insights.

Utilize pre‑call planning methods and other company tools.

Review and recommend route modifications to maximize business efficiency.

Effectively solve problems by leveraging consumer trends and customer insights to guide decision‑making.

Sales

Engage in forward selling via consultative sales techniques using provided data, technology, and procedures.

Conduct store walk‑throughs to maximize sales and display opportunities, gaining KDM commitment for successful outcomes.

Tailor strategies to influence KDMs to order additional products, increasing incremental sales and achieving best‑in‑class merchandising quality.

Merchandising

Administrative Responsibilities

Execute customer‑specific promotional plans on the sales floor through forward selling and maintain permanent displays.

Partner at store level to build, maintain and execute product visibility and merchandising objectives.

Complete and submit daily and weekly activity reports, expenses, competitive activity, account changes, and promotions using company‑approved methods and technology.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED required; 2‑year Associate/Community College degree required or 3 years of sales experience; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.

Valid U.S. state driver’s license.

Ability to drive multiple sales calls daily and commute within territory boundaries.

Physical ability to lift 10–60 lbs., bend, kneel, stoop, and demonstrate manual dexterity; occasional ladder climbing and equipment use (crusher, handheld electric trucks).

Proficiency with tablet and wireless technology; intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

Daily access to wireless internet.

Flexibility to adapt to changes in territory coverage, occasional weekend work, and possible overnight stays during peak seasons.

Employees can expect a starting base salary of $50,000. Additional compensation may include overtime and incentives. Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, vacation, and sick leave.
