Sunbelt Supply is a global provider of flow control solutions with a large catalog of valves, actuators, actuation accessories and specialty PFF in North America. We offer in-house valve automation services, CAD design and drawings, machine and fabrication shops with CNC machinery, and automation repair work. Sunbelt Supply is a subsidiary of FloWorks International LLC, a privately held company located in Pasadena, Texas.
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling Sunbelt Supply services to meet sales targets and generate revenue. This role responds to customer needs with appropriate service, maintains high levels of customer service with existing customers, and leverages relationships to expand business. It involves developing relationships with new clients by prospecting and responding to business development leads, monitoring customer sales activity, and adjusting processes and strategies as needed. The role also involves growing sales by engaging current core industries and emerging markets and by prospecting for new accounts, retaining existing accounts, and increasing opportunities with existing customers.
Responsibilities
Conduct on-site customer visits with new and existing customers; manage sales volume with an existing group of customers and prospect to expand the customer base.
Forecast, prospect, and bid for new business across customers, markets, and service opportunities.
Maintain and develop customer partnerships; build relationships with key decision makers and influencers at all levels of an organization.
Share market and competitor information with applicable channels within the organization; establish relationships and working partnerships.
Collaborate with customers, vendors, Credit, and Accounts Receivable to resolve service issues quickly.
Identify customer product needs and coordinate order execution.
May conduct negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers.
Assist in training or mentoring of associates.
POS system knowledge or consultative/solution selling experience is required.
Understand customer business needs and FloWorks product line and core customers.
Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline with generally 2-5 years of experience in related field; certification may be required in some areas OR MS/MA with generally 2-4 years of related experience.
Qualifications
Experience in sales and account management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Knowledge of the FloWorks product line and core customers is preferred.
Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers.
