Pure Barre
Pure Barre, a boutique barre-based fitness studio, is currently seeking a vibrant and talented part‑time front desk staff and retail associate.
This position requires at least 10‑20 hours per week, which includes set weekend hours.
Front desk staff report to the Studio Manager and Studio Coordinator and provide administrative support and coordination on all studio activities while developing and maintaining client relationships and overseeing the studio’s small retail boutique.
The primary hours of the studio and potential shift hours are (note hours are subject to change):
Monday – Thursday: 5:30 AM‑1:30 PM, 4:00 PM‑8:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM‑1:30 PM, 4:00 PM‑5:30 PM
Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM‑1:00 PM
The ideal candidate will have previous customer service and retail experience, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Social media skills, especially with regards to Facebook and Instagram, are required. Although not required, knowledge of barre‑fitness and/or Pure Barre would be helpful in this position.
FRONT DESK/RETAIL ASSOCIATE DUTIES
Complete the daily opening and/or closing tasks of the studio (e.g., counting cash, studio preparation and cleaning, writing and sending client emails, etc.).
Navigate and master the online point-of-sale system for sales transactions, class sign-ups and check‑ins, and client account management.
Create social media posts for Facebook and Instagram to market services, special studio events, and retail.
Manage studio email and other message boards, including Facebook messages and comments and Instagram comments.
Provide information to clients, new and existing, regarding class schedules, class offerings, class packages, memberships, and retail products, and upsell all services and products.
Organize and maintain studio retail displays; restock retail; prompt store management to reorder retail and/or studio supplies when low; and assist with monthly inventory practices.
Provide outstanding customer service; build client relationships; create an impressionable Pure Barre Experience; and promote the Pure Barre Lifestyle.
Maintain cleanliness of entire studio.
Attend all team meetings and marketing events.
Consistently participate in Pure Barre classes.
Provide shift coverage for co‑workers, and maintain a flexible schedule.
Demonstrate consistency in punctuality, professional appearance, and reliability.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION
HS Diploma
Prior retail experience
Ability to work in a fast‑paced and constantly changing environment
Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
Facebook and Instagram proficient
Experience with Mac computers, Google Docs & Sheets, and MS Office
Strong organizational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Self‑starter attitude with strong problem‑solving skills
Desire to provide outstanding customer experiences
