Summary Description Focus on the in-store customer experience; follow up with dealership customers & presentation of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The sale of Harley-Davidson motorcycles to dealership customers appropriate to their preferences and needs by applying the dealership sales process, working in concert with assigned teams and an Assistant Sales Manager (ASM).

Job Title: Fit Specialist

Department: Motorcycle Sales

Supervisor: Sales Management Team

Responsibilities:

Welcome guests into the dealership.

Narrow down the selection of Harley's to find which ones fit the customers’ needs.

Follow up phone calls to customers.

Selling the fun and excitement of Harley-Davidson to customers.

Ensure every person on the sales floor is entered into the Traffic Log.

Follow up on prospective customers politely and aggressively.

Meet and exceed contact goals set by the Sales Manager.

Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly.

Maintain an appealing showroom and motorcycle display.

Remain alert and present on the sales floor.

Greet customers immediately and courteously.

Handle telephone transactions efficiently.

Qualify customers for their needs and wants.

Practice effective sales methodology (steps 1-4 of the Lemco sales process).

Introduce customers to other departments for cross-selling opportunities.

Follow policies for road tests, pre-delivery inspections, and vehicle deliveries.

Handle customer complaints empathetically and positively, aiming to resolve issues as directed by management.

Attend training sessions as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience or ability to learn Harley-Davidson products and dealership offerings.

Experience in big-ticket retail sales preferred.

Passion for motorcycling and community engagement.

Excellent communication skills.

Professional appearance and demeanor.

Knowledge of applicable laws and policies.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and email; experience with Google Drive is a plus.

Attention to detail and strong customer service skills.

Approachable, enthusiastic personality.

High energy, self-motivated, positive attitude.

Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Effective teamwork skills and ability to learn inventory and CRM systems.

High school diploma preferred.

Valid driver’s license and motorcycle endorsement required.

Physical Demands:

Use of both hands, occasional bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, lifting up to 25 lbs.

Stand and walk for extended periods.

Balance and push motorcycles over 800 lbs.

Working Conditions:

Typically loud environment.

Potential exposure to chemicals, battery acid, gasoline, exhaust fumes, moving mechanical parts.
