Hourly Route Sales Representative

Herr Foods Inc. Location: Nottingham, PA Compensation: $18.00 / hour Benefit eligible, full-time position with elective benefits. Responsibilities
Safely drives step-van delivery truck over assigned route to sell, deliver, and merchandise products, and provide excellent customer service to grocery, mass merchandise, and independent chain stores. Sell, deliver, stock and merchandise Herr's brand snacks to customers; build relationships with key decision makers; provide excellent customer service; inquire about customer needs; communicate product knowledge and perform suggestive selling. Increase customer base by soliciting new accounts; execute promotional programs; rotate and provide credit for stale or damaged items; process orders into handheld computers; collect cash and invoices; manage daily inventory accuracy. Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle safety inspections and maintain a clean truck. Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old; valid driver’s license in current state; excellent driving record; no more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years; no DUI in past 3 years. High school diploma or GED; pass job-related assessment with score of 70% or better; pass drug test; random drug testing program for active employees. Able to read, write, understand and speak English; stable work history with good references; strong communication, persuasion and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities; adapt quickly to different work and driving conditions. Physical Demands
Constantly reaching; frequently sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, driving; lifting up to 32 pounds; occasionally lifting up to 48 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 40 pounds. Benefits
