Overview
Position Title: Construction Equipment Sales Representative
Reporting to: Sales Manager
Department: Sales
Central Power Systems & Services is a privately held company with deep roots going back to 1954. Our mission is forging long-lasting partnerships by providing first-class customer support. We are looking for a Construction Equipment Sales Representative to help support that mission.
Responsibilities
Actively market equipment and generator rental units to customers across all branch territories, and assist in coordinating the efforts of existing company rental salespeople.
Travel overnight as needed for sales and marketing activities, whether scheduled in advance or occasionally last minute.
Be accessible via cell phone 24/7 for emergency assistance to rental customers and/or the company branches serving them.
Perform other responsibilities such as driving and/or overnight travel as designated by and at the discretion of management.

Qualifications
An undergraduate degree (preferably in business or a related subject), or
A minimum of three (3) years of experience with sales in the field of heavy construction equipment
Solid understanding of construction equipment design and usage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to initiate, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks independently
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Explorer, etc.)
Excellent negotiating skills
Strong organizational and mechanical skills
Excellent customer relations skills
Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive working environment
Work Conditions Physical Demands/Work Environment: This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs. It also often requires pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs., and working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels. Tasks may vary and employees may be assigned other duties as needed.
