Inside Sales Representative

in the Akron/Cleveland, OH area . This position will play a key role in driving sales growth and supporting the company’s customer base. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong customer relationships, managing inbound and outbound sales activities, and working closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure exceptional customer service. The Inside Sales Representative will act as a liaison between customers and the company, providing technical information, processing orders, and identifying opportunities to expand sales.

Your Role To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The role is based in‑office and primarily conducted via phone, email, and digital tools, with occasional travel for customer meetings or trade shows as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Handle inbound customer inquiries, provide product information, and process orders.

Conduct outbound calls and emails to follow up on leads, quotes, and existing customer needs.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering timely and professional service.

Support field sales representatives by preparing quotes, proposals, and sales documentation.

Identify opportunities for cross‑selling and up‑selling to existing customers.

Maintain accurate records in the company’s CRM system, including customer contacts, activities, and sales opportunities.

Collaborate with the operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure order accuracy and timely fulfillment.

Assist with forecasting sales trends and reporting on customer activity.

Provide feedback from customers to management regarding product demand, competitive activity, and market conditions.

Stay current on company products, industry trends, and competitor offerings.

Participate in sales meetings, training, and trade shows as required.

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support overall team success.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

2‑4 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or account management, preferably in chemicals, manufacturing, or distribution industries.

Experience supporting B2B sales teams and managing customer accounts.

Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn product knowledge quickly.

Experience with CRM software and order management systems.

Demonstrated success in growing customer relationships and sales revenue.
