About the Role At MerchantE, an Omise company, we’re relaunching in the U.S. market with a 25-year legacy, a fully modernized cloud-native payments stack, and a culture built on forward-thinking customer service, sales engineering, and risk management.

We’re seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR/BDR) to help fuel our growth by generating new pipeline across our target channels—Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), eCommerce merchants, and ISO partners. You’ll be the first voice many prospects hear from MerchantE, shaping their impression of our brand and setting the stage for Account Executives to close high‑value deals.

What You’ll Do

Prospect into ISVs, eCommerce merchants, and ISO partners using calls, email, and social outreach.

Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns and convert them into high-quality meetings.

Articulate MerchantE’s differentiated value: end-to-end ownership of our modernized acquiring stack, deep integration capabilities, and commitment to customer success.

Collaborate with Account Executives to book and prepare discovery calls that address each prospect’s business needs.

Partner with Marketing on targeted campaigns that drive engagement in our core verticals.

Maintain detailed records of activity and pipeline in Salesforce to ensure predictable reporting.

How Success Will Be Measured

Pipeline Creation:

Number of qualified meetings/opportunities generated for AEs.

Channel Coverage:

Outreach effectiveness across ISV, eCommerce, and ISO targets.

Conversion Metrics:

Lead-to-meeting and meeting-to-opportunity ratios.

Collaboration:

Feedback from AEs and Marketing on quality of handoffs.

Growth Trajectory:

Demonstrated skill development with a path to Account Executive or Channel Sales roles.

Who You Are

A motivated self-starter energized by building connections and driving new business.

Resilient and persistent—comfortable with outbound prospecting and handling rejection.

Strong communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messaging to executives, operators, and technical buyers.

Organized and detail‑oriented; can manage multiple conversations without dropping the ball.

Curious about fintech, payments, and how modern infrastructure powers digital commerce.

1+ year of customer‑facing or sales experience (internship, SDR/BDR, or related) preferred.
