Overview The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers make a difference in people’s lives. Through the collection and resale of gently used goods we provide the financial support to assist men and women with a variety of social and spiritual afflictions. The in‑residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities with every person being provided a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction. All our effort is focused on developing life skills and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. More than just a job, each member of the team contributes to recycling goods that literally recycle and repair broken lives.

Duties

The Senior Sales Associate will assist the management team in meeting sales, production, and expense budget goals to maintain a profitable operation.

Schedule store personnel.

Complete payroll information for all staff.

Receive applications and participate in interviews as requested.

Train, direct, and supervise new employees.

Ensure store personnel are aware of and in compliance with all policies, procedures, and government regulations, that sales reports and other required paperwork are completed and forwarded to the finance office daily, and that the store is well stocked.

Serve as backup for the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager as needed.

The position will support the work‑therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing to beneficiaries an example of professional conduct, work habits, and supervision (as directed by Supervisor).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience in sales.

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable DMV record.

Ability to read and interpret simple income and expense reports.

Good communication skills.
