Job Summary The Roofing Account Manager & Business Development role is responsible for growing new business while maintaining and fostering relationships with key clients and project stakeholders. Develop new service clients for regional accounts and continued development of re‑occurring service revenue sources. Serves as a roofing resource and trusted advisor to clients, offering solutions‑based recommendations on company‑owned and leased properties, understanding overall project needs and developing a competitive estimate to complete the scope of work. Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention. Continually strives to build a stronger customer base; leverage existing relationships and collaborate with sister companies to align with the strategic goals. Facilitate internal coordination with new customer business prospects. Provide support for department and company initiative. Manage service project activities throughout the lifecycle including oversight of quality control, safety and productivity. Responsible for preparing service proposals and budgets as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned client accounts.
Prepare proposals and inspection reports, along with long‑term budgets for clients.
Responsible for reviewing and understanding all contracts and language, including preventative maintenance.
Professional liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication, collaboration
Safely manages assigned service work and operations in accordance with company policies and procedures
Reviews and determines project goals and timelines for each awarded project, defining objectives, risks, assumptions, staffing levels and deliverables.
Understand client needs and objectives; strategize and propose solutions that align with their goals.
Conduct regular check‑ins with clients to assess satisfaction levels and identify opportunities for additional support or services.
Proactively address client concerns or issues, providing timely resolutions and maintaining a positive customer experience.
Collaborate with or involve other APi companies to support and deliver by exceeding the client’s expectation.
Prepare and present regular reports on account status, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators.
Identify opportunities for account growth, upselling, or cross‑selling products/services to maximize client value and company revenue.
Travel locally and regionally to job sites and client locations based on business objectives
Operations / Business Development Role
Support business development objective related to processes, innovation, projects, and customers
Research and qualify business development opportunities in area of focus; seek out new customers in area of focus and vet projects for further consideration
Grow the roofing services, re‑roof projects, coating customer base and revenue stream for current area of focus as directed by management
Execute on strategic plans to support the planned Roofing and Architectural growth, in conjunction with Department Manager.
Support strategic planning items and business planning initiatives for the regional area as directed by Department manager
Travel locally and regionally to job sites and client locations based on business objectives
Other duties as assigned
Experience / Education Requirements
Proven experience in a customer‑facing role, preferably in Business Development, Customer Service Representative, or similar position.
Three years of Commercial/Industrial Roofing experience
Advanced knowledge of commercial and industrial construction equipment and techniques, component materials and required standards applicable to discipline
Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant tools used for managing client accounts.
Proficiency with computer applications including MSOffice; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SmartSheets
Ability to assume responsibility to communicate effectively across the company
Valid state drivers’ license with ability to schedule local and regional travel to job sites, client locations and Jamar office locations.
