Pacific Palms Resort
We are looking for a dynamic, revenue‑focused Catering Sales Manager to join Pacific Palms Resort, a premium venue hosting meetings and events in Los Angeles.
Base pay range: $75,000.00 – $77,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
Maximize revenue by selling catering products and services to current and prospective clients.
Manage account details, ensuring solicitation and closing documentation are complete and coordinated with internal departments.
Develop and implement monthly marketing strategies.
Conduct outside sales calls locally and in feeder market cities.
Acquire all food, beverage, audio‑visual, and meeting room needs, prepare banquet event orders, and communicate requirements to hotel personnel.
Plan and execute weddings and other events.
Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams, both verbally and in writing.
Prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate courtesy in all interactions.
Make cold calls, book repeat business, and maintain consistent communication with clients.
Conduct familiarization trips and onsite presentations to prospective clients.
Collaborate with Rooms, Recreation, Culinary, Catering, Convention Services, and Banquet Departments.
Participate in local community events and trade shows to develop business.
Skills Required
Excellent phone sales and listening skills.
Strong time‑management, organizational and scheduling skills.
Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.
Creative problem‑solving and quick decision‑making.
Customer‑service orientation and ability to take accountability.
Consistent pursuit of new customers and business development.

Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in catering sales.
Previous hotel or resort experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree (Science or other) highly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Delphi is required.
