Our SALT team has extensive training in tax accounting, tax law, compliance, audits, and economic development benefits, and experience with tax laws in many states. Our SALT solutions apply to sales and use taxes, income, and franchise taxes, property taxes, credits and incentives, and many more thorough understandings of multi-state sales & use taxes.
What You Will Do
Understand sales & use taxes
Identify optimal filing options
Analyze and review apportionment information
Consistently identify engagement and operating opportunities for improvement and provide timely solutions and consultation
Understand nexus and revenue sourcing issues
Manage multiple concurrent engagements without disruption or loss of control and within scheduled deadlines
Plan and research tax issues
Manage multiple client relationships, billings, and resource needs
Prepare technical memorandums
Provide audit assistance
Assist with state income tax compliance
Assist in managing, developing, and coaching professional staff
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
5 years or more of professional experience – public accounting experience is required, but the experience can include a combination of public accounting (tax) and/or industry
CPA license or J.D. or L.L.M designation preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing multiple client engagements
Team and engagement management skills
Innovative ideas to servicing clientele
High level analytical and reasoning skills
Ability to meet the stringent deadlines of our clients
Understanding of client service relationships and how to utilize firm resources to provide unmatched client service to existing clients
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture
Illinois Wage Transparency Pursuant to Illinois' Equal Pay Act, the salary range displayed is for the Illinois market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Non‑exempt/hourly positions will be eligible for time and half pay for employees that work over 40 hours in a workweek. Benefits are eligibility‑based and could include group health plan benefits, 401(K), bonuses, profit‑sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. IL Maximum Salary (USD): $140,000
