Description

Tidewater Fleet Supply / TNT Parts is one of the largest independent distributors of fleet, truck, trailer, and heavy equipment parts in the Southeast. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a driven, customer-focused Outside Sales Representative to help us expand our reach and strengthen relationships in the market.

In this role you’ll be on the front lines — meeting with customers, identifying their needs, and providing the Heavy Duty Truck and Trailer Parts solutions they rely on to keep their operations moving. If you’re a self‑starter who enjoys building relationships and delivering results, we’d love to have you on our team.

Responsibilities

Promote and sell Tidewater Fleet Supply/TNT Parts Inc. technology products including Webshop.

Prospect for new accounts/referrals by compiling and updating a list of prospective clients to provide leads for additional business.

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive account‑specific growth strategies.

Service existing accounts and communicate with clients on a regular basis, discussing use and features of various parts.

Manage accounts in the CRM system and update account profiles annually for contact information and sales potential.

Pre‑call plan each sales call using CRM “Sales IQ” guided actions.

Follow up on orders to ensure customers are served promptly.

Coordinate parts and provide delivery instructions to the appropriate personnel; advise the counter person on delivery instructions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Must be able to travel.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.

Appropriate manufacturer training.

Three years’ sales experience, including new account development, prospecting, and cold calling; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Expertise in the heavy duty or automotive aftermarket is highly valued, along with a positive attitude and a passion for customer service.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.

A minimum of 3 years sales experience, including new account development, prospecting, and cold calling; or the equivalent of education and experience.
