Job Description The
Senior Credit Concurrence Officer
partners with the Chief Credit Officer in managing the Credit Administration Division, which provides support and quality control for the holding company’s loan portfolio. The SCCO therefore, has a range of responsibilities encompassing preliminary review of potential borrowers, the approval process, and the ongoing follow-up of existing loan relationships. This responsibility involves management of loan risk and loss prevention, regulatory compliance, allowance for loan and lease loss reserve, and field audit. The SCCO is a member of the various loan approval committees, Corporate Credit Policy Committee, and participant in the Executive Asset Quality Committee meetings; provides direction to the Special Assets group.

How You’ll Spend Your Time
You will direct and manage Credit Administration and Loan Portfolio Management staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
You will advise lending officers on complex and high-value loans, recommending terms to improve credit quality.
You will monitor loan portfolios to ensure quality control, proper diversification, and loss prevention.
You will inform the Chief Credit Officer of significant issues affecting loan transactions, policies, or portfolio health.
You will lead meetings with executives to review loan quality, discuss past due accounts, and manage classified assets.
You will help develop, interpret, and enforce lending policies and procedures for Commercial and Consumer operations.
You will evaluate the adequacy of reserves for loan and lease losses and oversee other real estate owned.
Education & Experience Requirements This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting and 15 years of credit administration experience, which includes 8+ years management experience in credit administration, lending, and/or loan review.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of accounting and credit principles, lending functions, and credit loan analysis
Comprehensive/In depth knowledge and understanding of commercial lending policy, procedures and loan documentation requirements
Comprehensive knowledge of the Loan Grading Process
Excellent analytical skills regarding loan/credit review
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Advanced PC and spreadsheet software skills
Advanced management and supervisory skills
