DIRECT HIRE ONLY 1st Shift!!! $25.40-$38/HOUR
We are currently seeking a skilled Tool Mold Maker to work with top‑of‑the‑line equipment that generates serious earning potential! Join our Milwaukee‑based client that is a leader in precision tooling offering direct hire opportunities with competitive pay based on your experience.
Monday–Friday: 1st Shift hours (6 a.m.–2 p.m.), overtime on weekends, and access to Mastercam at your own workstation in a paperless, high‑tech tool room.
Seeking candidates with 3+ years of plastic injection mold building experience, who bring their own tools and have the skills to build, repair, and maintain high‑quality molds with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
3+ years of plastic injection molding building experience or successful completion of an apprenticeship program.
Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification/degree preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledgeable in current mold‑building techniques; solid manufacturing concepts in plastic injection mold building.
Ability to read, interpret, and analyze engineering designs and computer‑based CAD plans and models.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good problem‑solving skills and detail‑oriented.
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Prior forklift experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Build new tooling and components independently with minimal supervision.
Evaluate tooling and communicate any issues to the Lead Mold Maker or Supervisor.
Support and train Mold Maintenance Technicians and Apprentices.
Operate a full range of tool room equipment.
Perform mold maintenance and in‑press mold changes.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance to resolve quality concerns.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Use required PPE; safety shoes must be worn at all times.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
All candidates must have their own precision tools.
Candidates must have 3 to 5 years of tool mold making experience.
Other Functions
Work with QA to identify quality concerns.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Required Personal Protective Equipment: safety shoes must be worn at all times during scheduled work hours.
