Precise Resource
ERP Product Manager
Precise Resource, Inc. is a leading privately held Women’s Business Enterprise specializing in Executive Search and head‑hunting services for Fortune 500 clients across the United States. We have been asked to assist our client in locating an ERP Product Manager. Our client is North America’s largest organization of its kind — a network of privately owned and controlled cooperatives providing genetic solutions, technology, and services to agricultural producers, both domestically and world‑wide. The company is an industry leader known for its commitment to excellence, innovation, and operational efficiency. With a focus on digital transformation and AI‑driven intelligence, the organization is modernizing core ERP systems and advancing its use of data analytics, automation, and predictive modeling to improve decision‑making across the business.
We are seeking an Application Architect with deep expertise in ERP systems, enterprise software development, and AI integration. This senior‑level role requires a hands‑on technical leader who can design and implement scalable systems that leverage machine learning, automation, and advanced analytics to support operational efficiency. A leading producer‑focused organization is undergoing a multi‑year digital transformation initiative to modernize its ERP and operational systems. The ERP Product Manager will serve as the senior technical leader responsible for designing, modernizing, and integrating ERP, CRM, and production systems that support supply chain, genetics, and herd management operations. This role is ideal for a candidate who understands agricultural or production industry workflows such as livestock management, supply chain logistics, order fulfillment, or cooperative‑based data sharing and can architect intelligent, scalable systems that improve forecasting, traceability, and profitability.
The ERP Product Analyst serves as the strategic liaison between business stakeholders and the IT organization, focusing specifically on the planning, analysis, configuration, enhancement, and support of the organization’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform. Leveraging deep knowledge of ERP modules, business processes, and software tools, the ERP Product Analyst ensures system capabilities are fully aligned with organizational needs and delivers maximum value to business users. Operating in an Agile environment, the ERP Product Analyst partners with business leaders, end users, and technical teams to define business requirements, optimize ERP workflows, document features, and manage work items across modules such as finance, supply chain, operations, procurement, and HR (depending on the organizational ERP footprint).
What you’ll be doing
Collaborate with business owners to define and refine the high‑level vision, objectives, and functional needs of ERP solutions.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and module owners to ensure system enhancements directly support business priorities.
Lead requirements‑gathering workshops, process‑mapping sessions, and solution‑definition meetings for ERP functionality.
Analyze and document current business processes, identifying opportunities for automation, workflow improvement, and standardization within the ERP system.
Build and maintain a module‑level ERP roadmap, incorporating upcoming releases, process improvements, and business initiatives.
Facilitate creation and prioritization of ERP backlog items such as configuration changes, enhancements, integrations, reports, and data updates.
Use behavior‑driven development or similar techniques to produce clear, testable requirements for ERP enhancements.
Serve as the business proxy during backlog grooming, sprint planning, review, and retrospective sessions.
Collaborate with technical teams to validate functional specifications and ensure alignment with business needs.
Support ERP configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and data validation throughout the development lifecycle.
Coordinate cross‑functional User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case creation, execution oversight, and defect management.
Conduct end‑user training and create supporting materials such as job aids, process diagrams, and release notes.
Provide ongoing support for ERP modules, resolving issues and optimizing system usage.
Monitor ERP releases and updates, assessing their impact and planning required testing or business communication.
Recommend best practices, industry‑standard process improvements, and opportunities for leveraging ERP capabilities more effectively.
Required Education and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field—or equivalent relevant experience.
5+ years of experience in ERP analysis, ERP support, business analysis, product ownership, or related functions.
Hands‑on experience with major ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, NetSuite, or similar).
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and process‑mapping skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
Experience with Agile methodologies, Azure DevOps (or similar tools), and software development lifecycle processes.
