Senior Tax Accountant/Tax Manager

Responsibilities
Oversee and participate in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns across the portfolio.
Manage partnership tax compliance, including preparation and review of Forms 1065, 8879, and K-1 schedules.
Support partnership allocations, capital account reconciliations, and review of K-1 packages.
Coordinate with legal and finance teams on new entity formations, acquisitions, and dispositions to ensure tax‑efficient structuring.
Partner with Deloitte and other advisors on return preparation, review, and filing, with a long‑term goal of bringing appropriate processes in‑house.
Maintain fixed asset and tax depreciation schedules, supporting cost segregation and capitalization reviews where needed.
Oversee and assist with property tax filings and payments.
Prepare and file 1099s and sales/use tax returns in‑house.
Serve as the main liaison between Fidelis, external auditors, and tax consultants to ensure accuracy and timely filing.
Maintain accurate and organized tax workpapers, schedules, and documentation for audit support.
Provide insight and recommendations to leadership on potential tax exposures, compliance risks, and structuring opportunities.
Experience & Education
Education: Bachelors in Accounting or relevant field, Master’s preferred.
CPA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive tax experience.
Strong understanding of partnership tax principles and compliance requirements.
Experience in real estate, private equity, or fund environments highly preferred.
Proven ability to coordinate with auditors and external tax advisors.
Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex tax issues to non‑tax professionals.
