Responsibilities
Develop a full customer banking relationship by consulting with new and existing bank customers to review and expand their banking relationship using all applicable bank products and services; serve as the primary contact for customers for all of their banking needs.
Provide superior customer service by welcoming clients in a warm, friendly manner, and assisting them with their specific banking products and service needs.
Open and process new demand and time deposit accounts which include personal and business checking accounts, passbook savings accounts, IRAs, certificates of deposit, and money‑market accounts.
Accept loan applications for bank line‑of‑credit products, including checking account overdraft protection, unsecured lines of credit, and installment loans.
Obtain appropriate identification from customers to ensure accounts are properly opened according to bank security procedures, prepare signature cards, and input information into the bank system.
Order checks using the online system and issue ATM and VISA check cards according to procedure.
Process customer transactions (deposits, check‑cashing, etc.) and may serve as a backup to teller staff; adhere to all transaction processing requirements and policies when serving in this capacity.
Assume additional responsibilities as required.
Requirements
Three years of previous experience as a new accounts representative or other relevant banking position.
Sales orientation; possess the ability and desire to anticipate customers’ needs and offer and sell the appropriate banking products.
Proficient computer skills, including the ability to use a keyboard, number pad, and basic access to bank‑wide systems.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of bank clients.
Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
