Responsibilities

Responsible for generating profitable capacity through the effective deployment of carrier sales resources for specified region

Involved in the process of developing performance goals for carrier sales and monitors performance on a continual basis

Manages region to achieve objectives established in the Company’s Strategic Plan

Seeks out and targets new carriers, initiates action plan to approach and secure profitable capacity for the Company

Ability to inspire others to share company vision and support them to reach company/individual goals

Work Experience Requirement

Minimum 5+ years of transportation brokerage and /or logistics sales experience required

Experience in recruiting, hiring and developing a carrier sales team

Proficiency in utilizing industry capacity and pricing tools (DAT, GetLoaded, Truckstop, etc.)

Other Skills & Abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Detailed understanding of the truckload industry to include equipment types, carrier capabilities, pricing and regulations

Strong understanding of US Geography

Excellent organizational skills

Ability to resolve problems / conflicts

Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Works well in a team environment

Physical Requirements

Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus

Education & Experience College Degree or 5+ years transportation brokerage experience

Certifications

Professional certification may be required in some areas.
