Pipe Foreman Experience Required: 3-5 Years of Pipe Foreman for Storm/ Water/ Sewer

Supervises and coordinates the activities of team members engaged in one or more occupations. This includes but not limited to the laying of sanitary/storm sewer pipelines. Lays pipe to form water, sewer, or storm sewer pipelines. Duties require the study of utility and utility conflict plans, setting up laser and other engineering instruments to install pipelines at proposed elevations. Must be able to interpret production schedules and comply with all federal, state, and public utility regulations including Erosion Control Laws and Regulations. Must complete the required trenching and excavation training requirements set forth by The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Core Duties Be punctual, dependable and professional at all times Work with cost effectiveness, profitability and safety in mind Lead by example Lead the safety effort by recognizing and correcting hazards as soon as they are present and being the #1 safety advocate for the crew Be a mentor to other team members by teaching them proper construction techniques Conduct daily hazard briefing Complete time sheet with pertinent info from the day’s activity and submit per payroll schedule Complete all required paperwork (daily project reports, tool box talks, delivery tickets, etc.) and submit to office weekly Coordinate production schedule and project requirements with superintendent and/or project managers Communicate to the crew the plan for the day prior to work beginning Work to meet daily production goals Ensure work area is safe of underground hazards before digging Coordinate with superintendent to maintain current utility locates Inspect and inventory materials upon delivery. Report any deficiencies to the leader in charge immediately Inspect equipment and hand tools; have deficient items repaired/replaced Ensure all backfilling around pipe and structures is completed per project plans and specs Check all inverts and pipe slopes for accuracy according to stakes and plans Take all necessary actions to protect completed work Keep jobsite, equipment, truck and trailer neat and orderly Communicate time away from work with your team leader and other team members with sufficient notice to make plans for changing personnel to focus on the priorities Transport team members to and from jobsite as needed Willingness to work hours as required
