Position Summary
United Way of Greenville County is seeking a passionate and organized
Community Resource Coordinator
to enhance the 211 resource line and database, aid community members in accessing available community and internal services, and coordinate community partnerships to improve access to essential resources. This role will support community impact initiatives, develop relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure efficient resource allocation to individuals and families in need.

Areas of Responsibility
Build and maintain relationships with nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and other community stakeholders to strengthen access to essential services.
Coordinate and attend outreach activities, including resource fairs and community fairs, to promote available community resources, UWGC’s initiatives, and educate the public about the 211 system.
Provide training and technical support to community organizations and 211 staff to ensure effective use of resource networks.
Identify community partners, outside of the 211 network, and proactively engage them to provide education on the full complement of resources offered through 211 so they may share this information with their clients as well.
Work collaboratively with 211 partners to improve the effectiveness of the 211 system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date resource information is available to the community. Convene the local 211 partners in person when necessary to collaborate effectively and build relationships.
Track and analyze resource allocation trends, prepare reports, and provide insights to enhance service delivery.
Oversee and facilitate the distribution of emergency assistance funds and resources to eligible individuals and families, ensuring fair and efficient processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, nonprofit management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Ability to work nights and weekends as required for community events.
At least 3 years’ experience in community resource coordination, case management, or nonprofit program coordination.
Strong knowledge of social services, emergency assistance programs, and community resources.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and community members.
Proficiency in data management, reporting, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong presentation, relationship building, and influencing skills required.
Bilingual abilities (preferred but not required).
Listen to understand and speak to be understood.
Obsess over the details, but don’t be a perfectionist.
Challenge assumptions without being rude or disrespectful. Know when enough is enough.
