Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an
experienced Assistant Community Manager
with a strong background in
lease-up operations and luxury apartment communities . In this role, you'll assist in all aspects of daily operations, with a strong emphasis on resident relations, collections, reporting, and lease-up strategy execution. You must be capable of stepping in for the Community Manager when needed and thrive in a fast-paced, high-occupancy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lease-Up & Leasing Support:
Lead and support lease-up initiatives, driving occupancy and managing move-ins during critical phases. Support leasing agents to ensure high conversion rates and compliance with leasing protocols. Monitor marketing and outreach strategies to maximize traffic and brand visibility.
Accounts Receivable:
Accurately process rent and other resident payments in Yardi. Handle collections, issue late notices, and manage delinquency follow-ups. File and attend eviction proceedings as necessary. Conduct final move-out inspections and oversee security deposit returns.
Financial & Administrative Duties:
Maintain purchase order compliance and reconcile vendor invoices. Support budget monitoring and variance tracking. Submit financial and operational reports on time, as required by owners and company policy. Ensure all vendors are approved and active in Vendor Café.
Resident Relations & Community Operations:
Assist residents with service requests and general inquiries professionally and promptly. Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure timely unit turns and service delivery. Support community events and renewal initiatives to foster resident satisfaction and retention. Utilize Yardi to maintain up-to-date records and reports.
Leadership & Team Collaboration:
Serve as a back-up to the Community Manager during absences. Participate in daily operations meetings and staff development. Promote teamwork and a professional, positive atmosphere within the office and community.
Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in a multifamily Assistant Manager role, preferably in luxury lease-up communities. Strong experience in rent collections, resident relations, and financial reporting. Proficiency with Yardi property management software is highly preferred.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. College coursework in Business, Marketing, or Real Estate preferred.
Skills:
Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Tech-savvy with experience in MS Office and property management systems. Positive, proactive attitude with proven leadership skills.
