To provide customers with the highest quality service by ensuring consistent customer service and resolution, facilitating the timely release and/or inbound or outbound movement of freight/cargo.

Responsibilities

Provide impeccable customer service.

Prepare, analyze, and submit documentation to the appropriate parties (U.S. Customs, agents, clients) to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to customs.

Anticipate, identify, and resolve problems that could delay the timely release or movement of freight.

Maintain relationships with broker partners, T&B, and other service providers to ensure service requirements are exceeded.

Resolve banking and letter of credit issues and advise customers on payment terms.

Obtain payment on delinquent accounts and complete accounting adjustments as needed.

Resolve billing issues and coordinate post-entry activities on behalf of the customer.

Accurately input or correct data in computer systems.

Perform root cause analysis as directed by the Account Administrator.

Manage post-entry activities and entry verification processes.

Access external client systems as necessary.

Communicate with business partners via written, phone, or email.

Produce operational trend reports and keep partners informed of exception processes.

Handle pre-alerts and respond as needed per customer SOP.

Maintain general knowledge of FedEx products and services.

Interact with customers, internal staff, and management at all levels.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with front-line customer personnel.

Facilitate entry processing, including pre-arrival and post-arrival exception resolution.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED required.

6 months of brokerage, transportation, or customer service experience preferred.

Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle high-volume, time-sensitive work independently.

Detail-oriented with knowledge of HTS classification and familiarity with the harmonized tariff system.

Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and other federal requirements.

Paid training provided.

Preferred Qualifications & Details Location: On-site for 90 days, then option to move to remote at B St Blaine, WA.

Shift: 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay: $13.63 - $21.59.

Includes health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
