Summary Of Role This role is for an experienced P&C Account Coordinator/Sr. Account Coordinator. In this role, you will provide support by assisting our Commercial Lines team on Property and Casualty (P&C) accounts. You will support a team of Client Services Managers and Account Executives to service client accounts and help maintain client relationships. The position requires a great deal of verbal, electronic and other written communications. You will assist the team by providing administrative/operations functions and may also support the team on new business opportunities. You will begin to have client contact via more senior team members, join meetings and client calls, and be responsible for listening, taking notes and providing follow‑up. Under mentorship, you will begin to learn the functions of the Account Manager, get exposure to the RFP process, and expand upon industry knowledge through special projects as directed by senior team members. Desired experience is one to several years of Commercial Lines experience. Salary and title will be commensurate with experience and knowledge.

This is a full‑time role offering the flexibility of a hybrid schedule based in our Plainview, NY office. Working in the office at least a couple of days a week is required and essential for fostering interaction and professional growth. When working from home, you must maintain a private workspace, secure company equipment, have high‑speed internet, remain present and responsive, and minimize personal interruptions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Gain exposure to clients and carrier contacts; attend meetings and calls with the Account Management team.

Assist the Account Management Team in preparing insurance for company proposal requests.

Perform policy checking, complete coverage checklists and coverage recommendation letters.

Create and maintain client files in the Agency Management System‑EPIC; verify rates, adjust for additional premium, and expedite invoices.

Assist with billing questions from clients and insurance company personnel with assistance from Accounting Dept. when necessary.

Utilize gained knowledge in administrative, operations or client servicing experience.

Exhibit exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Apply knowledge of MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

Demonstrate excellent calendar management skills with meeting planning experience.

Work both independently and within a team environment.

Show attention to detail, follow‑through, and a sense of urgency.

Education and/or Experience

Two plus years of related P&C experience and/or related training.

High School Diploma or equivalent is required; additional education preferred.

Experience with EPIC or other agency management system required.

The base salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives.
