Building Engineering Services Business Group (BES BG) Technology Director

will drive strategic vision and tactical implementation of technology solutions across our multidisciplinary BES consulting practice. You will lead a team of technology experts, collaborating with BES leadership, IT, operational leadership, vendors, and stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and implement technology initiatives. The focus will be on leveraging technology to optimize project execution, improve efficiency, and foster innovation, including digital delivery, data strategy, automation, and emerging technologies. This position reports to the Professional Services Director. Success involves developing effective technology solutions, creating a community of practice, shaping strategic plans for 5-10 years, and positioning HDR as a market leader. Primary Responsibilities Lead a team to develop and monitor a BES technology vision and roadmap. Combine market-centric, innovative strategies with pragmatic implementation and risk management. Develop communication strategies to engage BES technology professionals and stakeholders. Standardize workflows and practices to enhance efficiency and quality. Promote thought leadership through awards, publications, speaking engagements, and leadership roles. Vision for the future workforce, recruiting, developing, and retaining talent. Partner to identify and develop technical experts supporting HDR. Identify hardware/software needs and work with IT for solutions. Foster collaboration and skills development within practice groups. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering, IT, or related field. 8+ years of experience, with 5+ in A&E consulting. Ability to formulate and execute technology strategies and implement change. Experience in data architecture, management, and industry standards. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience with technology evaluation, software development, and deployment. Knowledge of technologies used in architectural engineering, including digital production and data sciences. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s in a related field. 10+ years of experience. Professional or Engineering registration. Experience managing diverse teams.
