Senior Director / VP, Financial Reporting & Compliance (Boston, MA)
Full-Time | Onsite (Boston) with travel to New Jersey
About the Role We are seeking an experienced finance leader to oversee our global financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations. This role is ideal for a strategic yet hands‑on finance executive who thrives in dynamic, high‑growth environments. You will oversee SEC and FPI reporting, ensure world‑class compliance standards, lead a high‑performing U.S. Finance team, and partner cross‑functionally across the business—including HR, Legal, Operations, and the Executive Team.
Lead all SEC and FPI reporting processes, including 20‑F, 6‑K, quarterly financials, proxy disclosures, and related filings.
Own budgeting oversight for the function.
Ensure full compliance with SEC, GAAP, IFRS (as applicable), and evolving regulatory requirements.
Partner with internal and external auditors to maintain strong SOX compliance and internal controls.
Oversee equity compensation accounting, including expense recognition and option pool tracking, in partnership with HR and Legal.
Stay up to date on regulatory and accounting standard changes and lead timely implementation.
Supervisory Oversight
Lead, mentor, and guide the U.S. Finance team, ensuring best‑in‑class accounting and reporting operations.
Serve as the escalation point for technical accounting matters and key judgment areas.
Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and service providers.
Hands‑On Contributions
Draft and review SEC filings and other critical external reports.
Provide technical accounting expertise for complex and unusual transactions.
Support system enhancements, process improvements, and finance‑related projects.
Strategic & Cross‑Functional Leadership
Partner closely with the CFO on board materials, investor reporting, and strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Operations on compensation planning, equity administration, compliance, and company‑wide initiatives.
Champion process improvement, systems optimization, and finance function scalability.
Perform other duties as needed to support organizational goals.
Qualifications & Skills Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
CPA required .
12+ years
progressive finance and accounting experience at life science companies.
Experience working in smaller, fast‑paced organizations.
Global experience required.
Deep expertise in SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and public‑company operations;
FPI reporting strongly preferred .
Experience in
biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences
strongly preferred.
Required Skills
Proven leadership at both strategic and hands‑on levels.
Track record of leading senior finance professionals and managing external vendors.
Excellent communication, influencing, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Other Requirements
Ability to work from our
Boston office on a regular basis .
Willingness to travel regularly to our

office and other locations as needed.
