Who You Are The
Business Development Representative (BDR)
at Pretred is responsible for generating new business pipeline through strategic outbound prospecting, high-velocity inbound qualification, and education-driven conversations that help prospects understand Pretred’s value. This role bridges Sales, Marketing, and Education—often serving as the first voice prospects hear from our team.
Your primary mission:
Penetrate target verticals and accounts
Educate prospects
Identify opportunities
Book qualified meetings for the Sales Management team
What You'll Do Outbound Prospecting (Primary Focus)
Reach out to potential customers via phone, email, and social media
Execute targeted outbound campaigns and multi-touch sequences
Conduct high-volume cold calling and personalized outreach
Build and maintain a structured book of accounts in key verticals
Use tools like Dodge, ZoomInfo, and CRM data for project and account intelligence
Inbound Lead Qualification
Rapidly respond to inbound leads with professionalism
Qualify prospects based on ICP fit, need, timeline, and budget
Convert MQLs into SQLs and ensure clean handoff to Sales Managers
Education & Value Communication
Deliver short educational calls, webinars, or demos to help prospects understand Pretred’s products, sustainability benefits, and ROI
Share case studies, content, or best practices that support buyer education
Represent Pretred at events, trade shows, or customer education sessions
Cross-Functional Collaboration With Marketing:
Align on messaging
Execute campaign follow-up
Provide feedback on lead quality, personas, trends, and messaging
With Education/Training:
Maintain accurate, up-to-date product and application knowledge
Share customer objections, industry insights, and frontline feedback
Pipeline Management & Reporting
Maintain detailed CRM updates, activity logs, and pipeline notes
Meet or exceed weekly/monthly KPIs for outreach, SQLs, and qualified pipeline
Report on progress, learnings, and new opportunity areas
What Success Looks Like
Building trust through clear, educational conversations
Consistently converting leads into qualified opportunities
Expanding awareness of Pretred’s sustainable solutions
Acting as an effective bridge between Marketing, Education, and Sales
What You Bring
Bachelors degree or relative experience (required)
2+ years in outbound sales, inside sales, sales development, or similar role (required)
Experience selling to construction, government, or industrial verticals strongly preferred
Strong research and prospecting skills (Dodge, ZoomInfo, etc.)
Comfortable with high-volume phone outreach and multi-channel prospecting
Strong communication and presentation skills (in-person and virtual)
Highly organized, self-motivated, competitive, and coachable
CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce)
Interest in sustainability or technical products is a plus

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Pretred provides a good‑faith estimate of compensation for this role. Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, and qualifications. The position is eligible for commission and standard company benefits (health, dental, vision, PTO).
