Job Description A large-scale manufacturer is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional with sales and use tax knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Setting up new customers in the billing system
Establishing tax exemption status
Following up with customers to ensure proper tax documentation is provided
Working with existing customers when tax exemption documents expire
Supporting existing customers when they expand into new states
Managing all accounting operations based on accounting principles
Preparing budget and financial forecasts
Publishing financial statements on time
Conducting month-end and year-end close processesCollecting, analyzing and summarizing account information
Computing taxes and preparing tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement etc
Developing periodic reports for management
Auditing financial transactions and documenting accounting control procedures
Keeping information confidential and securing it with regular database backups
Keeping up with financial policies, regulations and legislation
