JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise staff of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), including performance reviews, training, vacation and attendance scheduling, and disciplinary actions.

Provide WIC and nutrition services, including eligibility determinations, nutrition assessments, culturally relevant counseling, care plans, and documentation in WIC administrative and medical files.

Manage program operations: prepare and analyze service reports, distribute client lists, maintain inventories, and ensure staff comply with training requirements.

Coordinate with WIC and departmental supervisors, community agencies, and organizations to integrate services within the assigned geographic area.

Serve as an information and security delegate; oversee site activities and ensure compliance with food safety and state regulations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to supervise employees and staff.

Ability to determine work priorities, assign tasks, and ensure completion.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Knowledge of WIC program policies and procedures.

Knowledge of the current science and practice of nutrition and dietetics.

Knowledge of nutritional and dietary assessment techniques.

Ability to analyze and interpret anthropometric, biochemical, dietary, and clinical data.

Basic mathematical calculation skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Verifiable license as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in Florida (Chapter 468).

Three (3) years of professional experience in Public Health Nutrition, or a master’s degree in Nutrition from an accredited institution.

Verifiable work with the Florida WIC program since 2014.

Availability to work beyond normal hours, including emergency duty (special needs or disaster response).
