Job Overview The domestic Business Development Executive will play a key role in driving new business growth within the U.S. market. This individual will focus on developing relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering customized logistics solutions across a range of domestic transportation modes, including expedited LTL, FTL, white glove, trade show, and retail freight.

Responsibilities And Duties

Develop and close profitable new business within the domestic transportation market.

Grow additional business with existing clients and identify cross-selling opportunities within Phoenix's client base.

Develop strategic relationships with clients and maintain them over a sustained period of time.

Partner with internal operations and pricing teams to deliver tailored, competitive solutions.

Coordinate the complete sales cycle process including lead generation, prospect list initiation, prospect qualification, solution design, proposal preparation, and preparation for onboarding.

Maintain a sales pipeline in line with company growth targets.

Qualifications

Sales and account management within the freight forwarding/logistics industry (5+ years).

Domestic freight experience (first mile, final mile, middle mile, FTL, LTL, white glove, expedited, tradeshow, and retail freight).

Demonstrated ability to develop and grow client relationships and close new business.

Passion for clients and a drive to succeed.

Strong hunter mentality with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.

Proven closer.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Highly organized, analytical, and detail oriented.

Collaborative approach with the ability to work cross-functionally across departments.

Enthusiastic, persistent, and confident approach.

Computer systems: Microsoft Office 365 products.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Ability and willingness to travel (25-50%).

Possess a valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance.

Preferred Qualifications

Existing book of business that could transition over time.

Ability to cross sell other products/services.

Salary: $75,000 - $125,000 per year.
