Vice President of Athletic Affairs/Athletic Director Brescia University is searching for a newly created VP of Athletic Affairs/Athletic Director. This person reports directly to the President and is as a member of the University’s senior leadership team. The VP/Athletic Director leads all aspects of athletics and is responsible for the successful performance of all athletics programs, coaches, staff and student athletes reflective of Brescia’s mission and values.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and sound decision-making that adheres to the highest standards of integrity regarding all Athletics Department matters, including fiscal affairs, personnel, strategic planning, facilities and general operations
Promote an atmosphere that advances the holistic development of student-athletes and their integration into campus life with particular attention to graduation rates and academic progress
Assure gender equity and full compliance with Title IX
Recruit, mentor and retain strong, ethical and talented coaches to foster success
Strengthen all sports to be competitive at the highest possible levels
Qualifications
Bachelor’s required, master’s preferred
Five years of progressive experience managing people and budgets, within or without higher education, with an understanding of athletic operations.
