Role Description This is a part‑time role for a Blood Draw Technician (Blood Draw Tech), located in the Metro‑Atlanta. The Blood Draw Technician will be responsible for performing venipunctures, labeling and securing blood/urine evidence. The technician will interact directly with law enforcement in jails, precincts, on‑scene of motor vehicle crashes and hospitals, ensuring high‑quality customer service while maintaining the confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. Additional responsibilities include maintaining lab equipment and supplies and adhering to relevant medical and safety standards.
Qualifications
Proficiency in venipuncture and related blood draw techniques
Understanding of medical terminology
Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adhere to strict procedures
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in phlebotomy, AEMT, paramedic, or related field are preferred
Previous experience in a medical or laboratory setting is a plus
