Responsibilities
Assist customers inside and outside a U‑Haul center with products and services.
Use smartphone‑based U‑Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
Move and hook up U‑Hauls trucks and trailers.
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels.
Answer questions and educate customers about products and services.
Prepare rental invoices and accept returned equipment.
Install hitches and trailer wiring.
Fill propane (certification provided by U‑Haul upon employment).
Operate a forklift (certification provided by U‑Haul upon employment).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Participate in ongoing continuous education through U‑Haul University.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid driver’s license with the ability to maintain a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Environment The work involves moderate risks or discomforts that require special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts or machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals. Protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields may be required.
Physical Demands The job requires physical exertion, including long periods of remaining stationary, moving around indoors and outdoors, reaching objects at varying heights, and moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs. (assisted or unassisted).
Pay Range $15 – $17 per hour
