What You Will Be Doing This position oversees day‑to‑day operations in the Loan Servicing department. It creates/updates procedures, facilitates training, and assists in compiling data and reports regarding mortgage receivables serviced by HGV. The role works closely with Operations to automate and streamline processing using available technology.
Additional Responsibilities
Review, delegate, and approve work performed by Loan Servicing staff
Assist in developing and implementing strategies for operational activities (posting payments, collections, cancellations due to foreclosures and bankruptcies)
Oversee accurate completion of cash reconciliation duties and resolve reconciling items
Ensure compliance with internal/external reporting requirements, including IRS reporting (Forms 1098, 1099)
Complete audit requests including loan servicing controls review, sample sets, and cash reconciliation support
Collaborate across departments to effect changes and complete special projects
Assist management with staff performance reviews
Train and cross‑train team members on various functions
Create and/or update SOPs to ensure accuracy per policy
Run existing reports and/or facilitate creation of new reports used to perform duties
Identify operational control points and weaknesses, and associated exposures
Develop acute understanding of technology utilization and document process flows
Review, adjust, and approve team member timecards and attendance
Assist members with onboarding and ongoing maintenance of work‑related resources
Carry out reasonable requests by management

Adhere to company standards and maintain compliance with policies and procedures
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Associate’s degree (or Bachelor’s Degree)
3‑5 years of related experience (or 5+ years of related experience)
1+ year of management or supervisory experience (or 2+ years)
Highly proficient computer skills – Windows & Office, especially Excel
Experience automating and standardizing operational processes
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Accounting experience
Experience with mortgage/loan servicing application (LSAMS, Servicing Director, etc.)
Willingness to work occasional overtime, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
