Customer Service Representative I – Sentara Health
Overview Sentara Health is seeking a full‑time remote Customer Service Representative located in Virginia or North Carolina. The position requires occasional onsite travel to address connectivity issues.
Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM on a day shift. The role involves handling all telephone inquiries from members and patients, including eligibility, prescription benefits, claim payments, billing updates, payment plans, and scheduling.
Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls and resolve issues related to member eligibility, prescription benefits, and claim payments.
Update billing information and establish payment plans.
Provide quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education.
Maintain accurate call records and data entry for high‑volume calls.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Two years of customer service experience (required).
Previous data entry experience (required).
Experience in a high‑volume call center (preferred).
Compensation Base pay range: $16.35 – $23.08 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, bonus opportunities, and extra shift incentives.
