Your Role The Part time Recreation Specialist I – Sports Management duties will include but not be limited to:
Planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating youth and adult athletic leagues, programs, services and operations of Sports Management while providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Leading/instructing activities in field of expertise and managing facility operations while adequately ensuring safety standards for facility, program and participants.
Provide leadership, supervision, training, scheduling, mentoring/coaching, and evaluation of part time staff and volunteers.
Enforce City and Department policies, procedures and practices.
Assist in facility supervision during events to include set up and breakdown as required.
Recommend and submit equipment and supply orders, complete inventories, inspect, report on and repair assigned equipment to ensure safety.
Assist staff in routine problem solving.
Research, recommend and implement new ideas/resources for programs and activities.
Investigate and document accidents and incidents.
Assist in coordination of facility use to include processing reservation requests.
Assume duties of supervisors in their absence.
Operate City vehicles.
Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge and physical requirements as demanded by those duties described or less. Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on then current workloads and department needs.
