Work Schedule: Maximum of 20 hrs per week, flexible working hours

Responsibilities
Content Planning & Calendar Support – Assist the Coordinator in maintaining an editorial calendar for concerts, recruitment pushes, and faculty/student spotlights. Stay informed about upcoming performances or special projects that warrant short‑form video capture.
Short‑Form Video Capture & Editing – Film quick, viral‑oriented clips during rehearsals, backstage moments, or live events—focusing on behind‑the‑scenes insights and high‑impact visuals.
Social Media & Email Assistance – Draft social media post copy (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) to accompany videos and short‑form content; schedule them using provided tools. Design or edit email marketing materials promoting upcoming events, then measure open rates and engagement under the Specialist’s guidance.
Copywriting & Proofreading – Draft short‑form copy for social, web, and email, ensuring messaging reflects Baylor’s brand voice. Spot‑check grammar, style, and alignment with School of Music messaging before final publication.
Print & Design Coordination – Collaborate with the Coordinator to gather images or text for posters, brochures, or other collateral. Help design in Canva or similar platforms, maintaining brand consistency on color, fonts, and layout.
On‑Location Assistance – Attend select concerts, rehearsals, or promotional events to capture spontaneous, engaging moments on video or as photos for later campaigns. Serve as a liaison with faculty and student performers for quick interviews or cameo appearances in short‑form content.
Data Tracking & Reporting – Gather basic analytics (social engagement, video views, watch time) to share with the Coordinator. Recommend small improvements or content angles for future campaigns based on performance metrics.
Skills / Qualifications
Enrollment: Currently enrolled as a Baylor undergraduate or graduate student, ideally studying Marketing, Communications, Film/Media, or a related field.
Video & Digital Skills: Familiarity with basic video shooting (phone or DSLR) and editing in easy‑to‑use software (Premiere, iMovie, etc.). Comfortable with social apps (YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels) for short‑form, viral content.
Writing & Editorial Strength: Ability to craft concise copy, engaging hooks, and social post captions that fit the Baylor brand. Detail‑oriented with proofreading or editing tasks.
Organized & Flexible: Willingness to shift between tasks—from filming quick behind‑the‑scenes footage to scheduling posts and emails. Capable of meeting deadlines, even with last‑minute performance updates or event changes.
Collaborative Mindset: A team player who openly communicates with the Coordinator, the streaming professional team member, and other staff/students. Receptive to feedback, with a desire to learn from more experienced marketing professionals.
Passion for Music & the Arts: Genuine enthusiasm for supporting the School of Music’s mission, capturing its vibrant performance culture and sharing it with wider audiences.
