Main Responsibilities
Full‑life cycle recruiting: build strong business partnerships, develop effective recruiting strategies, source and identify candidates, review and screen resumes, and interview candidates of all levels.
Support for employee relations, training, and development; compensation & benefits; safety and risk compliance.
Communicate and ensure compliance with compensation, benefits, leave policy and other programs.
Investigate all employment grievances, including EEO, ADA and report findings to appropriate stakeholders.
Process and manage all organizational changes and movement through PeopleSoft, including data audits to ensure accuracy.
Develop, introduce, implement, and monitor adherence to the DC’s Safety culture, policies, and procedures in compliance with state, federal, and local laws and regulations.
Oversee injury and accident investigations; analyze injuries and accidents to identify the root cause.
Manage the employee return‑to‑work programs, modified duty programs, and medical case management programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Risk Management, or related studies preferred; equivalent work experience acceptable.
3+ years of human resources generalist duties or other related business experience preferred.
Familiar with behavioral interviewing, employee training, employee relations in a unionized environment, fair compensation standards, diversity sourcing, and management development.
Strong conflict management skills; proven team player with excellent customer service skills.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to lead and influence others.
High degree of initiative; must be able to manage confidential information.
Travel Requirements Less than 10%
