CONFLUX SYSTEMS
Base pay range: $23.00/hr - $24.00/hr
Role Type: Federal Government Billing Specialist
Location & Schedule: Cary, NC office; hybrid schedule (on-site Tue–Thu, remote Mon & Fri).
Experience & Education
Open to entry-level, preferably 1–3 years with exposure to federal invoicing platforms (WAWF, IPP, Tungsten).
High school diploma and relevant work experience acceptable; college degree not required.
Willing to train on platforms if candidate has other billing experience.
Attention to detail (critical due to strict contract requirements).
Ability to multitask and prioritize across multiple invoicing systems.
Strong organizational skills for timely and accurate billing.
Experience with Government invoicing platforms (WAWF, IPP, OB10/Tungsten, ECAT).
Key Responsibilities
Generate revenue by preparing and submitting invoices via federal platforms (WAWF, IPP, Tungsten, etc.) in compliance with agency‑specific requirements.
Review contract terms, purchase orders, and funding modifications to ensure billing accuracy for reagents and consumables.
Monitor unbilled receivables and resolve invoice holds or rejections promptly.
Respond to and resolve WAWF system rejections, collaborating with Contract Administrators and Credit & Collections teams.
Maintain invoice tracking spreadsheets and forms and ensure data integrity across systems.
Act as liaison with internal teams (Contract Finance, Sales, Credit & Collections) to resolve disputes and maintain billing compliance.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Order Management department.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Experience with Government invoicing platforms (WAWF, IPP, Tungsten).
Understanding of federal billing compliance and contract terms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and federal invoicing systems (WAWF/IPEE).
Team‑oriented, flexible, and reliable with a commitment to operational excellence.
