Position Overview Sr. Benefits Specialist at Republic Bank. Responsible for design, implementation, and administration of retirement, wellness, and ancillary benefits. Ensures attractive, compliant benefits that support company growth.

Core Responsibilities

Administrate associate retirement plan programs, including 401(k) & ESPP, and wellness benefits (fitness reimbursement, tobacco cessation, telemedicine, tuition reimbursement).

Prepare and execute benefits documentation (plan documents, summary plan descriptions, rate sheets) with legal consultation.

Analyze plan data to create wellness and utilization programs.

Coordinate benefit education and awareness initiatives, including communication campaigns and annual total compensation statements.

Develop creative communication strategies to engage associates.

Conduct departmental and associate meetings for enrollment and benefit information.

Audit and reconcile related invoices.

Respond to associate benefit inquiries, apply procedures, resolve escalated issues, and ensure correct enrollment.

Measure effectiveness of benefit programs, conduct trend analysis and provide recommendations for enhancements.

Stay current on benefits trends and recommend competitive strategies.

Collaborate with payroll, recruiting, HRIS and vendors on process improvements.

Identify opportunities to automate benefit processes and implement strategic enhancements.

Conduct benefit surveys, benchmarking, research potential design changes and present to leadership.

Serve as day‑to‑day point of contact for vendors, manage contracts and interfaces.

Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and oversee audits.

Support the Retirement Committee and record meeting minutes.

Collaborate with the benefits team on open enrollment, testing new plans.

Maintain knowledge of compliance requirements and assist implementation.

Minimum Qualifications

6–8 years of benefits experience with strong technical understanding of program design, management, and administration.

Experience administering benefits and executing long‑term development goals.

Strong knowledge of benefit laws and regulations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with UKG Pro HRIS and EMB/PlanSource systems a plus.

Physical & Other Requirements

May be required to travel between Republic banking facilities and occasional out of town travel.

Flexible schedule may include evenings, weekends, or overtime.

Stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and regulatory changes.

Physical demands: sit regularly, use hands, stand, walk, occasionally lift up to 10 pounds, requires close & distance vision, moderate noise level.
