Job Summary The
Junior Automotive Technician
is responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturers and Boyd’s Tire standards.
Compensation & Benefits Pay
ranges from $22 – $27 per hour depending on experience (hourly plus flag rate).

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Diagnose vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
Perform work as outlined on the Multi‑point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
Explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non‑mechanical individuals, including Store Manager, Service Consultants and customers.
Recommend services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle running; properly document all recommendations in customer file.
Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
Maintain appropriate ASE certifications and renew expirations.
Qualifications
Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training.
Possess valid driver’s license or obtain a valid driver’s license within 30 days of hire date.
Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays.
Ability to pass an MVR screening and background check.
