Responsibilities

Lead complex patent and trademark litigation in federal courts, before the PTAB, and in administrative proceedings

Manage global IP portfolios for clients in technology and life sciences industries

Develop and execute tailored IP enforcement and monetization strategies

Negotiate licensing and tech-transfer agreements and conduct due diligence for corporate transactions

Draft and prosecute patent and trademark applications aligned with client innovation goals

Provide legal opinions on freedom-to-operate, validity, and infringement risks

Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and business executives to align legal strategy with commercial objectives

Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the ongoing growth of the IP team

Requirements

J.D. degree and at least 8 years of experience in intellectual property law

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

Admission to the USPTO and at least one state bar

Proven experience handling complex patent and trademark litigation and prosecution

Strong technical fluency in software, hardware, and/or life sciences technologies

Expertise in global IP portfolio strategy, licensing, and enforcement

Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

Experience advising both emerging technology companies and established corporations
