Role Summary The Direct Sales Agent Specialist is responsible for driving profitable growth and achieving business goals by selling new products and building rapport with customers. You will attract new customers, cross‑sell existing ones, and maintain a strong book of business at the market/retail location.

Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, including walk‑in customers and outbound marketing calls.

Market and sell Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance products to existing and prospective customers.

Build and maintain community relationships through in‑person visits, events, and local organization partnerships.

Manage retention and cross‑sell efforts within your customer book.

Track key competitors and recommend marketing initiatives to improve market position.

Collaborate with Direct Sales Leadership on marketing plans and sales processes.

Ensure compliance with company underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedural standards.

Handle customer payments, issue receipts, and verify cash drawer reports.

Minimum Qualifications

0–2 years of experience in direct sales or related field.

P&C licensing (preferred) or ability to obtain required licensure within 90 days of joining.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

Proven ability to close insurance and ancillary product sales.

Consistently meets or exceeds sales goals through new product sales and cross‑sell/retention.

Leverages community contacts to build a robust sales pipeline and referral sources (e.g., car dealerships, local events).

Initiates outbound calling to target customer base for product offerings.

Provides feedback on competitive landscape and marketing initiatives.

Aligns with Direct Sales Leadership for strategic planning and execution.

Maintains high standards of quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, and compliance.

Adheres to underwriting guidelines and company policy updates.

Compensation Base compensation:

$20.00 per hour.

In addition to the base hourly rate, compensation may include incentive pay such as commissions and bonuses based on individual and team performance.
