Salary Level
$99,461.00 – $128,329.00
Salary is commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay. Agent trainees receive locality pay for the Washington, D.C. area plus availability pay, which is 25% of the base and locality pay.
Major Duties
Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety.
Exercise judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility in meeting investigative demands.
Create and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law‑enforcement agencies.
Maintain a level of physical fitness to ensure readiness for law‑enforcement duties.
Key Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be able to obtain a Top Secret SCI clearance.
Must be a current federal law‑enforcement officer (1811).
Must have at least two (2) years of full‑time, consecutive federal 1811 employment.
Must pass an FBI pistol qualification on an FBI‑issued firearm prior to attending ASAT.
Must meet the FBI’s employment eligibility requirements.
Must be willing to travel as required.
Education
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university; degrees verified by submitting college transcripts.
