Job Summary AYR Wellness’ Sales Supervisor is accountable for managing the dispensary’s sales floor in cooperation with the Assistant Manager and Lead Budtender(s); this includes opening/closing the store, managing breaks, controlling the flow of patients, being responsive to questions/concerns of patients, assisting budtenders with any questions/concerns while engaging patients and ensuring all cash controls are being executed consistently. When managing the business, the Sales Lead Supervisor must be specifically focused on patient care/customer service, employee engagement and driving profitability via a positive patient experience. The Sales Lead Supervisor is expected to achieve said goals through educating their teams, inspiring operational efficiency, and delivering effective coaching. The Sales Lead Supervisor reports to the Dispensary Store Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

Maintaining all aspects of dispensary operations in strict compliance with Department of Health, municipal and state legal regulations.

All opening/closing procedures, including all cash accounting procedures and reporting for end of day.

Cash handling standard operating procedures including register checks to ensure there are no variances between cash actual and POS software.

Ensure dispensary operations are prepared for service and patients.

Oversee the sales floor to ensure a positive patient experience.

Identify and address employee issues on a timely basis; document appropriately in the Accountability Log and make Dispensary Store Manager aware of any concerns regarding performance management of employees.

Team by executing Product Knowledge Training to ensure the team is well‑educated on the PA Medical Marijuana program, fundamentals of cannabis, and our entire menu of products.

Onboard and train new hires in accordance with company standards.

Opening and closing the dispensary following Opening/Closing Procedures Guides.

Host one‑minute meetings/team huddles to inform team about promos/new products, updates to ops, and announcements.

Ensure the cleaning checklist is completed consistently and all COVID‑19 protocols are met.

Manage the sales floor, ensuring a positive patient experience.

Manage online orders/curbside reservations in an organized and timely manner.

Observe sales floor, giving coaching/feedback to budtenders on communication, engagement with patients, and product recommendation.

Maintain store presentation in terms of visual assets and cleanliness.

Address and resolve patients’ concerns.

Keep the store appearance pristine, including restrooms, to be consistently clean, safe, and guest‑ready.

Conduct tech sweep to ensure all technology is working properly and contact IT if repairs are needed.

Ensure that the visitor log is fully filled out consistently with all necessary verifications.

Qualifications

Must stay current and adhere to all policies and regulations of the state cannabis agency.

Must meet age requirement as outlined by state cannabis agency.

Able to pass all background checks as required by state cannabis agency.

Able to accommodate scheduling that may include varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Education High school diploma/GED required.

Experience

1–3 years of prior customer service experience in a hospitality, pharmacy, customer services, or retail environment.

Working Conditions

Work is primarily performed in a dispensary setting; area may be odorous at times, loud due to fans and filtration systems, fluctuating between cold and warm temperatures.

Involves frequent contact with staff, vendors, and customers; may include dealing with law enforcement and occasional state inspectors.

Physical Requirements

Communicates with customers about medical conditions and product offerings.

Frequently operates computer/POS system and other standard office equipment such as printers, phones, and photocopy machines.

Remains in a stationary position when checking in customers or operating the register.

Constantly moves and transports dispensary products/totes up to 30 lbs. throughout the dispensary.

Can twist, turn, bend, stand, and walk as required to perform duties associated with functioning as a dispensary agent.
